EUROGRIPP's revolutionary four anchor system is adapted to be inserted in the base of the pole. The pole is bent when hit by a skier through the hinge, while at the same time is maintained anchored in the snow. The assembly of the pole/gate comprises a bottom base designed to be inserted and removed from the snow. A principal tubular pole connected to the lower base by a hinge bendable along its longitudinal axis that allows the pole to bend from a normal vertical position to a horizontal position when hit. The connecting hinge through the spring’s mechanism allows to instantly repositioning the pole in its normal vertical stance. The expandable retractile anchoring wings mounted in the lower base are the actual part of the invention and object of the patent.
Our anchoring mechanism has a position with the wings retracted that allows the easy installation or removal from the snow with minimum effort. While the extended position of the wings skewed in the snow forbid the pole to move from his hole in the snow. The hinge mechanism connected between the pole and the base, respond and it is made operative when the pole is bent from its vertical position and causes the wings to extend anchoring in the snow. The preferred form and anchoring mechanism, works with the possibility of the spring to compress on its axis when compressed axially upward, dragging the wings outward through the exit holes in an extended position blocking the pole from coming off its hole in the snow. Following the impact the spring after absorbing the hit goes back to its regular length and brings back the pole in its vertical position and at the same time drags back inside the base the retractable anchoring wings.
